Georges New Home

As George lay on the ground, a elderly couple drove pass and saw George laying there. They stopped the truck and got out to see if George was still okay. They decided to take George home and nurse him back to health. When they got home they planted George in the middle of their front yard and tended to him everyday. Over the next few months George became stronger and stronger. By the time Spring arrived George was as good as new. His arms were spread out and his head was held high.
Even though he did not get reunited with his brothers and sisters, he made friends with the other trees in the neighbourhood.
George became the most popular tree in the area.
When Chritmas came around again, George was worried about what would become of him. He saw the couple getting the lights and ornaments ready for decoration and he thought he would be cut down and put inside.
But the couple surprized George and told him that from now on he was going to be the centre of their christmas decorations and stay in the front yard year after year displaying the christmas decorations for all of the world to see.
George was so happy with the news that he told all of the other trees.
Since then every Christmas George is decorated and people come from all over just to see George, the beautiful tree.
